Missing Network Utility Icon

on imac g3 indigo 500mhz, noticed icon network utility missing. running 10.4.11. tried replace icon ones on internet, white or black background on icon. 100% sure these icons have transparent layer. took network utility icon 1 of newer macs , tried replacing it, didn't appear translucent. guys input on cause of strange problem. if problem doesn't solved, isn't big issue, network utility still works fine. ideas welcome.

did download .png alpha on (no white background), open in preview, hit cmd cmd c, go network utility , click info? click top preview icon (will outline blue) , hit cmd v.
