MacBook, Late 2013 Trackpad/Keyboard Issue

hi all,

i've seen previous posts around still can't find solution.

morning, macbook pro's (details below) trackpad , keyboard has stopped working @ all. i'm able use bluetooth keyboard , mouse.

there efi v1.3 update os x version previous run , therefore won't run update.

suggestions welcome!

macbook: model macbookpro11,1 (retina late 2013)
os x: mavericks 10.9.4
