Traveling to Europe with iPhone

going europe (germany, italy, austria, switzerland, france) 3 weeks in september , trying decide on best data plan phone.

going sim card thing i've been seeing, at&t global add-on plans cheap (maybe cheaper international sim). , lot less hassle not having switch sim cards in every country.

can tell, using international sim card telestial, data costs $0.39/mb. at&t global add-on plan, can 800mb $120 comes out $0.15/mb. seem right or missing something?

can 30 travel minutes $30 , 50 messages $10. getting of $160 seems pretty decent deal me...what think? better option getting international sim card?

thing i'm worried going on 800mb limit. plan use data sparingly..mainly directions (google maps, viamichelin, etc) , possibly few emails contact hotels, etc. think 800mb enough 3 weeks?
 

my wife , use more 300mb total on mobile share plan each month. if carful , watch data counter 800mb should fine 3 weeks.
