AMD 7950 performance degradation 3,1 -> 5,1

so swapped radeon 7950 had sitting in 3,1 new 5,1 got. running valley benchmarks, however, i'm seeing dramatic drop in performance. on 3,1 got scores of ~1230/29.5 average fps. , i'm getting 830/19.8 on same extreme hd preset, got 5770 in 3,1. no temps seem out of whack, i'm wondering possible issue be.
 

have u updated drivers of 7950?

drop in performance makes no sense whatsoever.
