Can't downgrade to iOS 7.1.2 on latest DP and iTunes 12

i have 13" rmbp running os x yosemite, , tried downgrade iphone 5s ios 7.1.2, after downloading file attempted perform option button method(press option button while clicking restore iphone) , itunes refused recognize software. in fact, when attempted restore iphone's software, said resource wasn't available. suggestions?
