Dropbox, FileZilla = OK; Firefox, Safari can't get to web

i've got frustrating situation , hope there able figure out.

oceanic modem working fine. wireless router working fine. can surf web using wireless router ipad.

imac, can connect web using filezilla (to transfer files) , can add files dropbox account , can update kaspersky internet security app can't web using firefox or safari or itunes!

apps launch fail load.

when start imac, don't usual request allow apps access web.

clearly, seems me anyway, problem somewhere in imac.

when go preferences > network , click diagnostics, says ethernet , wireless connections working properly.

i'm @ loss preventing web browsers , itunes accessing web.

working fine until week ago , don't recall installing new apps.

suggestions appreciated. thank you.

 

you need check firewall settings under security in system prefs.

or if kaspersky has own firewall, problem there.

third party "security" software causes more problems solves in os x.
