Mail: starts at bottom of inbox

hi all,

wondering if else frustrated rather annoying mail setting. each time click on mail icon -whether launching or picking after using app- mail decides resume showing complete bottom of inbox. frustrating focused on reading recent email, @ top.

unless want change settings , have recent emails @ bottom of page, forced scroll whole inbox way top every time exit & return app.

figure way stop nonsense?
