Myriad (hardware?) issues - battery, sd slot, wifi

crossposting apple forums: in short, i'm wondering best options investigating since reinstalling hard disk repair, resetting rams , on haven't helped much.


i've had issues off these things since right around time warranty expired:

-wifi slower other computers in house no matter is; doesn't work @ if have bluetooth on , connected something. seems known bug apple won't acknowledge- there discussions of here , on macrumors forums

-the sd card slot ejects or unmounts storage expansion keep in full time. not when battery low or while sleeping, while sitting @ computer working. i've had repair sd card disk utility multiple times result.

-battery life down 3 hours- battery health says @ 83% of original full capacity know used 6 hours easily, , mavericks supposed improve that. i'm wondering in part if sd card part of what's killing it, there no way can find deeper analysis of what's using power. nothing on computer except use office applications, browse web , listen music through headphones or wired speaker (since bt won't work internet).

mid-2012 13" mba, running 10.9.4. have no pirated software on here , have been gradually moving things cloud storage, hd 54% full. i'm going have pay support ticket on these things, i'm wondering: worth it? end paying every separate issue? feel pretty confident apple support not going acknowledge first 2 points part of larger , unacknowledged issues, being out of warranty, , battery life subjective.

i'm feeling close buying windows 8 machine.
