Verizon Wireless - iPhone 6 - only gold 64 GB left?

i went 3 verizon wireless stores yesterday after work...thinking find space gray iphone 6 (16 gb). unfortunately, left empty-handed. had gold iphone 6 (64 gb). strange 3 stores gave me same response. wonder why had gold 64 gb?

anyway, didn't preorder because didn't know carrier wanted use until last minute. (this article helped: https://www.yahoo.com/tech/iphone-6-plans-compared-at-t-verizon-sprint-and-97601904249.html).

question this: how soon/often verizon wireless stores shipments of space gray iphone 6 (16 gb)?

want new phone before trip ny in oct. can't order online, delivery date won't until oct. 17th. work @ verizon wireless branch can shed light shipments?
