Installing OS X updates on old eMac

i have 2002 vintage emac (educational version of wedge imac) has been restored os x 10.1.4 not connected internet.

found sequence of updates @ site http://ftp.iinet.net.au/pub/apple/mac_os_x/ , burned them cd on newer imac. when insert cd emac , click on first file, asked pick destination folder. none of options system folder or looks installation process.

missing process? have connect emac internet these updates install?

in advance guidance :)

the dmgs (disk images) compressed save space. notice filenames end in .bin? that's compressed file format. it's asking folder because system needs know uncompress dmg.

once it's uncompressed double click mount disk image , double click on installer file.

why go through trouble though? download 10.4.11 combo updater , done it.
