Keyboard event on windowsController

i have clarification wrt nswindowscontroller class, how add keydown event windows controller class. assume need nsview subclass keydown events fire, current class subclassed nswindowscontroller because multiple window application.
 

the docs nswindowcontroller inherits nsresponder theoretically can respond events.

read on nsresponder class reference. read mac os cocoa event handling guide read design of events in cocoa apps. talk responder chain , how works.
