Question about cleaning lid after stickers removal

hi all!

have question, had stickers in lid of air, , decided take them of today.

have been there year, one, unlucky paper sticker (why make vinyl??) took residue of stickers calling attention lid of macbook dirty, not extremely dirty, can see sticker used be, not exaggerated difference in color of lid, subtle i'm obsessed sob know clean "stains" of course because of using laptop...

well, hope have ideas, thought isopropilyc alcohol not know finish of laptop if affected it...
 

you might check apple because no doubt have clean returned mbas going out refurbs.

apple isn't pc vendor aluminum laptops. might try local windows dealer see if have suggestions.
