( 16 year old having problem )
hey, own late 2009 macbook, , i've been having trouble booting 1 fine wednesday morning .-. 15 year old passionate music , surfing internet endless hours doing whatever comes mind ( facebook, watching random videos on youtube , talking lot of people .-. ) tuesday night, could've sworn did not download or installed on macbook. turns out, next morning, stuck on spinning grey wheel of death .-. did every teenager do... threw laptop out window... i'm kidding, tried booting first
( no more ******** )
unplugged accessories ( lapdesk fan , laptop charger ) , started up... hour later still nothing. enough enough looked online. suggested go safemode figure causing problem, booted , laptop slow... no reason, i've never seen slow before.
( spec. , details )
- have white macbook late 2009
- 6 gb of ram
- 1 tb hardrive, i've used around 620 gb already
- used brother before 5 years , passed on me i've used year ( haha funny broke macbook -_- )
backed when gave t me , haven't since... sorry .-.
( interesting part need )
boot safemode. problem is, keep telling me can't if i've done procedure 4 times... , can't restore because need songs , memory later use. lot of family pictures, lot of school work , lot of... music ( yes not porn, music ) need getting , once i'm don't that, i'll need hold option key , reformat macbook.
please .-. not want go genius bar them tell me it's going cost me 300$ repair .-.
in deed without tm or other backups available restore backup seems out.
os running? there original os dvds available boot from? did or brother make bootable usb stick or dvd? of family or friends have one?
assuming problem corrupted os, , maybe bad drive on lower level, consider removing drive , putting in new one. drives relatively inexpensive. need bootable dvd or usb stick boot, format, , install os new drive. friend make 1 if necessary.
can connect original drive usb port (sata usb cable needed) see if disk utility can diagnose , repair it. if so, can move data new drive.....and use original drive doing backups.
