2014 MBA 30 second restart?

hi everyone,

bought 2014 mba today @ best buy. upgraded 2010 mba, , absolutely love it, there few quirks bugging me. may paranoid, , maybe these issues smooth out in next few days, since computer new, worries me.

first, have noticed issues flash. installed latest version, , while watching flash videos seems lag frequently, creating smear effect pixels don't refresh.

noticed issue in safari on google search, scrolling caused sidebar scroll, page did not scroll. when closed safari , reopened it, problem did not persist.

biggest issue me after day of use, , noticing few issues, decided restart system, , took 1:10 reboot. did pram reset, , after multiple attempts, still haven't had restart time under 30 seconds. ssd sandisk 128gb drive, , getting 300mb write , 700mb read, think great. concerned because getting 12-15 second restart times on 128gb 2010 mba, , put 128gb 840 evo in girlfriend's cmbp gets 10-12 second reboots. know ssds can adjust on time, don't want go outside 2 week return period find computer still restarting slow.

seems great computer, reboot time bugging me. since bought @ best buy, bring in apple store? if can, worth bringing apple store? guys have other suggestions or similar experiences?

best,
matt

that's not normal. 2013 mba (same components yours) boots in under 20 seconds, , that's filvevault enabled. also, no flash lagging nor scrolling issues.

try doing fresh install of os (apple tell exact same thing anyway), , if persists, yes, can take apple store though bought @ best buy.
