One-handed usability needs to be improved for big-screen iPhones

background: i've owned of iphone models , upgraded iphone 5 6 (i wanted 6+, didn't have left - i'm still debating whether i'll return 6 , try score 6+).

lot of people, use phone one-handed. i'll use in landscape mode watching videos, taking/viewing photos, , see scenario might preferred in-car use (but more apps need support better). but, of time, i'm using in portrait mode, , i'd work one-handed. well, know, phones bigger now, , it's harder that. it's not 6+. regular 6 harder use one-handed. going 4-series 5 made things bit harder.

reachability nice feature suspect i'll have use clicking on links @ top of web page, etc. should *not* long-term solution accessing icons on top row of app launcher, being able swipe down notifications screen, clicking on buttons @ top of apps, etc.

foresee lot of smart developers figuring out on own , we'll see lot of apps updated of buttons moved bottom of screen. , developers slow support left-to-right swipe go previous screen update apps that. i'm concerned apple has not led charge , rethought ui new world of large-screened phones. examples:

- top row of icons on app launcher out of reach
- swiping notifications screen down out of reach
- many official apple apps have buttons @ top of screen (e.g., 'send' button when composing email, url box in safari).

can done? well, here simple ideas think go long way:
1) redefine ui standards buttons on "menu bar" move bottom of screen. top of screen should ideally information-only. applies not single row of buttons, when you've got lots of buttons. example, keyboard on lower part of screen can reach one-handed. phone numeric dialer takes of screen, hitting #1 key less comfortable. numeric dialer buttons should compressed bit , moved down bottom half of screen.
2) move notifications swipe-down screen , integrate single swipe-up control panel / notifications screen.
3) app launcher should ideally rethought altogether, simple/easy improvement short-term have app launcher have apps gravitate bottom, instead of being top-justified, or allow users position app icons wherever want on screen.
4) lists (e.g., contact list) should allow white space @ top of list can drag list down , reach top items.
5) lock screen functionality needs revamped. when listening audio, controls high on screen. also, notifications allow swiping left-to-right jump app (e.g., sms message) more uncomfortable reach/swipe. maybe change functionality tap-and-hold on notification launch messages app?
6) move alert banners bottom of screen.

other thoughts/ideas?

also, know how android , windows phone ui's compare in regard? they've been doing big-screen phones longer, , i'm curious if suffer similar one-handed usability problems, or if uis better optimized this.

wow. guess no 1 interested in engaging in thoughtful discussions here anymore? maybe should start new thread phone bending or whether iphone 6 superior iphone 6 plus.
