For those with 8.0.1 issues

while restoring in itunes apple support recommending, here did fix 8.0.1 issue had. had 8.0.1 firmware installed on phone morning (unfortunately), , super pissed because didn't want have restore phone restore icloud backup take hours configure overall after adjusting settings, relogging everything, etc.

downloaded 8.0 firmware (all models found here):

once had downloaded, plugged in iphone computer, option-click check update (not restore), select new 8.0 firmware downloaded. didn't have put phone restore mode or anything, install treated upgrade 8.0.1 > 8.0 , thank god.

know has been said in comments on article regarding situation learned there, thought i'd bring fix attention of iphone forum can out.

fyi, have verizon iphone 6 64gb give guys idea
