A couple of MDD Problems

i picked cheap mdd locally, , having few problems i'm hoping folks here might able guide me on:

mdd 2003-the 1 released after pm g5-with single 1.25ghz.

1. startup chime internal speaker-as best can describe it-sounds fart. sounds fine via external speakers, , other sounds play through internal speakers sound fine(although haven't tried music or else tax it).

2. more concerning(rather annoying)-when shut down computer, seem "dead" until unplug , plug in. work immediately. i've tried pmu , pram reset, , it's still doing same thing.

internal speaker might dirty or foam has rotted away. second, sounds psu has faulty caps. there atx conversion cable forsale on-line.
