when first got new iphone 6 last friday (9/19), phone ring , vibrate when receiving call. turned off "vibrate on ring" left "vibrate on silent" on. worked fine until today.
today, had on silent mode (silent switch turned on) , call came through without vibrating @ all. reason noticed call coming through because had sitting on desk , happened looking in direction when call came in.
so, ran "tests." double checked settings , "vibrate on silent" still turned on. restarted phone , still had same issue (i.e. incoming call while on silent didn't vibrate).
turned on "vibrate on ring," turned silent switch "off," , tried calling. rang fine audibly, there no vibration go along it.
tried turning "vibrate on silent" off , on. when turned on, vibrated alert me vibration turned on. also, when turn physical switch "off" , "on" vibrates.
when in silent mode, still vibrates when receive email (i'm using gmail app).
however, addition not vibrating in silent mode when getting call, not appear vibrating when receive sms/imessage (it still shows on lock screen received message, no vibration go along it).
so, i'm wondering if sort of bug native phone and/or message function (since seems working fine gmail app , vibrates when flip switch silent - both physical switch , "virtual" switch in settings), or more involved.
has else run this? have suggestions on fixes?
please ignore - problem has been resolved.
