Aperture Imports

i'm new mac, i'm trying import photos aperture (and iphoto) , proving complicated , troublesome. in fact did months ago have never been happy how turned out.

have 1 pictures folder many sub folders within. have no problems of pc apps use, , lightroom , dxo pro use on pc , mac. handle (and display) structure no problem.

can update other image apps new folders, deleted folders, deleted pictures, moved folders etc 'refeshing' or 'syncing'.

despite aperture , iphoto insisting folders 'events' , 'projects' can handle ok. don't have see have 'refresh' option, haven't clue how update pictures folder in aperture , iphoto.

can import both (especially aperture) seem import haphazardly displaying new folders out of place (not retaining original folder structure)

there way 'refresh' libraries of aperture , iphoto? got confused installing aperture , having choose default libraries, have iphoto , aperture libraries , can switch aren't sure libraries or how update/refresh them.

gotta think more mac me, have several image editing/viewing apps , have no problems any, seem pick , display original 'windows style' folder tree structure except aperture , iphoto seem handle things in own unique way honest don't get.

further complicate matters aperture literally takes hours sync icloud. have quit app stop this, tho' seems operate ok while it's doing this.

easier start scratch , uninstall/reinstall aperture , iphoto?

 

why convert aperture? apple announced not upgraded anymore? , both iphoto , aperture replaced new product (unknown specs)

stay lightroom on mac..... license lightroom should transferable pc mac ( hope)
