2010 Macbook Pro upgrades

i'm wanting upgrade mac completely! mac operating 500mb of ram when should running little under 4! have never upgraded mac before need advice. i'm wanting new hdd upgrading old 500gb 1tb. want new memory, upgrading 2 x 2 gb ram 4 x 2 gb ram.

able these upgrades , best me?


2010 15" macbook pro i5
current specs:

processor: 2.4 ghz intel core i5

memory: 4 gb 1067 mhz ddr3

graphics: nvidia geforce gt 330m 256 mb
 

do need 1 tb of space? ssd far , away best upgrade can mac (it memory), 1 tb ssd set quite bit. option 500 gb ssd , install hdd in optibay, if don't use superdrive.
