is else on here flash free? , if how work out in long run?

have late '09 umbp, uninstalling flash , moving safari has made laptop quieter , lot less hot... means can have laptop on lap without burning off leg hair! :d

few things can't view because don't have flash work round or go without... notably bbc iplayer! if change user agent ios miraculously works!
 

i have chrome installed sole purpose of viewing rare flash site. otherwise it's safari.
