Interested in switching from cMBP to MBA

with best buy promo sale on new air models considering getting 13 inch model replace mid-2012 cmbp. cmbp has applecare february 2016 , third party 240gb ssd. use laptop browse web, manage photo & music/media library itunes & iphone. sporadical gaming using windows/mac via bootcamp. far know nothing cpu intensive needs. things used once in while ethernet i/o, optical drive, ir receiver ( have apple remote) , ability use audio out port stream surround sound home theater. missing here or there more should consider before making switch? mba excellent battery life gains , might benefit slight improvement integrated gpu.
 

you need ethernet adapter (buy 1 acts usb hub), ir adapter , external optical drive.

other that, should suit needs , have horsepower (it's not netbook means , it's faster current mbp) reserve.

audio out, integrated dac, quite good.
