ios 8 automatically downloaded overnight

i'm on iphone 5 , don't want upgrade ios 8 until @ least first or second update comes out. woke morning see ios 8 decided download automatically without me doing anything. there sitting on phone taking 2.6gb of space. deleted don't want happen again. there way prevent happeing? assume has being plugged in , on wifi while charging overnight?
 

dont connect wifi while charging iphone.. if ,then update download again... cautious if dont wanna update. :)
