TRIM+UASP USB3.0 or Thunderbolt?

i want change external drives mac pro (late 2013, uasp supported) on ssd's. don't understand trim, drives getting samsung 840 pro 1tb's, , i've read, trim important.

however, everywhere i've looked online says usb3.0 uasp not support trim. well, question is, thunderbolt? thunderbolt enclosure support trim?
 

thunderbolt supports sata commands including trim others ncq improve disk performance. far know tb enclosures support trim, have configure/hack macos enable (a few terminal commands or app).

next generation usb3 may support more sata commands.
