Why doesn't OS X eject the DMG?

-

i have silly question.

when install on osx, why dmg file remain mounted; forcing eject manually?

day whenever install java or whatever open dmg needs closed.

why doesn't apple clean step up?
missing something, or there reason it?
 

how mac os x know done disk image or not?
