iPhoto, Aperture and shared libraries

i know can share each others library, want know if there advantage on how done. in other words, there benefit having aperture library iphoto shares? or same iphoto library aperture shares? have been using iphoto library aperture , wondered if fresh import aperture worth trouble.
 

you've gotten bit backwards. they're not sharing own unique type of library each other, there's 1 type of library.

doesn't matter program creates it, it's same kind of library. open whatever program want @ given time.
