New iPhone 6 transfer cable still USB 2 speeds?

wondering has apple upgraded cable use faster transfer speeds? since newer iphones come , ipads come in 128 gb flavours, makes sense full usb 3 speed transfer huge amounts of data.

hate when itunes sync speeds limited to. 28 mbps. apple needs make sure flash chips on these phones support higher speeds.

there report anywhere on this?
