Non-Game 750M Performance?

i have 2009 13" mbp - considering upgrade 2014 15" rmbp, on fence on going dgpu version or not. 90% of time, i'm in browser or i'm programming (i7 going sweet) in c++, external monitor. other 10%, watch movies.

i'm leaning towards $1,999 version + $100 2.5ghz i7 upgrade simplicity/no chance of dgpu failure (maybe upgrade ssd myself in 3-4 years), i'm open $2,499 version larger ssd/dgpu, if there enough non-game benefits.

have either version can compare 2014 15" 750m vs on-board graphics performance in these situations?

1. browser scrolling
2. movies (vlc)
3. 2nd monitor (4k)

maybe 3. 1 perceptible difference?

thx.

not needed of really. maybe 4k on few monitors if anything.

capable of vlc movies , scrolling. hell integrated fine.
