reinstalling setup asst in Office

i cleaned apps macpro using appcleaner. now, error message when trying boot program in office 2008. error says: "setup cannot completed b/c setup asst app cannot opened. try running office installer again." there way reinstall setup asst without reinstalling entire office package? no longer have disks program.
 

wow! in pickle. can't divine office 2008 installation ether. might try downloading , installing updates microsoft's office 2008 website. hopefully, 1 of them reinstall setup assistant. if not, need office 2008 installation disc.

now, here things nasty you. understanding office 2008 installer requires rosetta. if case, installer not run on recent releases of os x.

the big picture

have considered using appcleaner or such utility, let lesson you. not needed , should not used. such utilities more harm good. if want uninstall application, use developer's uninstaller. if no uninstaller included, none needed. use finder. ccarroll57 made mistake of using appcleaner don't have to.
