AirDrop kills my wifi

running os x 10.10 on late-2013 rmbp, , have bthomehub 5 router, mbp connected on 5ghz band via 802.11ac.

have iphone 6 plus running 8.0.2 , mac mini (latest model) running os x 10.9.5.

i've noticed if try airdrop between mbp , mini or iphone, mbp disconnected totally normal wifi , won't rejoin. have reboot machine.

me?
 

apple's running airdrop fest thing fix airdrop woes.
