Installing Windows to play Q3A

i used love playing quake3arena many, many years ago.

i'd play again, have 2009 24" imac osx 10.9.4.

reading called quakelive q3a played in browser, it's no longer supported on mac.

thinking possibility run older (and if available, free) version of windows on imac play quakelive.

possible? there way find cheap or free version of windows (maybe 2000 or xp)?

playing q3a thing using windows for, haven't needed windows other software have used last 5 years.
 

there's program called ioquake3 allows q3a run on modern hardware in os x. need legitimate copy of quake 3 on either cd/dvd or steam. see post made here more information.
