What is the best way to back up camera roll?

-

very ipad runs out of storage , have camera roll, delete pictures don't want, , on again. using aperture, don't it. have billion events ipad , of them duplicates. know best way camera roll?
 

using pc, plug iphone in using cable , view iphone in computer drive. of pix can saved computer , left on phone or removed - choice. every 6 months or so. :) camera roll shows this.

don't know how mac handles it.
