Another Verizon Edge question. (Did the math, comes out cheaper? Am I doing it wrong?

hi guys, missing here? did math (which assuming correct....??) on verizon edge stuff , seems edge cheaper, has me concerned because missing...nothing ever cheaper!

plan 10gb share (we have 6 lines on it) i'm going break down , see if can confirm or tell me i'm missing something.

phone broken down 20 monthly payments, , you're paying tax of full amount (my state 6%). if wanted 64gb iphone 6, $749 + tax equals $793.94. divided 20 $39.70 month 20 months.

now, usual access $40 month $25 dollar discount $15 month (i negating 10gb line fee since going same no matter what) equals $300 20 months or $360 24 months. total $1,153.94 assuming keep $15 fee remainder of 4 months, if not (going $40) total of $1,193.94. now, understand trading in @ 60% paid off or whatever new upgrade wouldn't wise in cases, not going math because not going upgrading way or if do, purchasing phone @ 100% price either give else on line.

now, comparing buying phone on 2yr contract same pricing. $299 + 6% (in mi pay tax on actual sale price) $316.94. $40 24 months $960. total in equation $1,276.94, more $1,193.94.

seems if going stuck in contract 20 months or 2 years, logical , cheaper choice edge. talks how bad edge deal (is 1 year upgrades etc?). sure monthly bill $14.70 higher in long run save me money (i use $300 planning buy phone offset cost monthly).

sorry huge long post lots , lots of numbers, trying make sure doing best thing.

seems right. edge isn't bad misunderstood or not understood @ many. might not best option on various older plans , lower data current plans, can better option higher data current plans, in case example.
