Best version of OS X for Mini Server

i have mac mini 2,1 (mid 2007 c2d) can run os x lion, officially. i'm planning run server vpn, file sharing, media streaming , backups , in dilemma version of os x put on it.

snow leopard, lion, or.. mountain lion using mlpf? (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1325709)

i've heard mountain lion more stable lion since it's being 'hacked' onto mac i'm not sure of options work out best. thoughts?
 

snow leopard server best server. lion server terrible (i skipped altogether). mountain lion server seems fine few issues. know nothing mlpf if works have advantage of running still supported os.
