Partitioning drive.....?!?!

i bought sims 2 , after realized wasn't supported 21.5-inch, mid 2010 mac, contacted aspyr support , suggested partition disk. size , format recommend sims 2, , why won't mac let me partition disk....?

simply partitioning drive won't enough able run game.
