Idle Time needed or not for SSD's

just wondering if in know, have idle our apple ssd trim, or if has, garbage collection it's job, or leave alone, , use macbook pro 2014 ?

it's fine use it

have had 2010 mbp after market ssd , fine trim enabled.

have mbpr 13 , absolutely fine if use normally.
