Quicken for Mac 2007 suddenly loses entries

every once in while close quicken, , when open of entries between march of 2005 present in cash journal gone! no other registers affected. try go backup last time closed it, missing in backup well. typically have go day or 2 find backup missing entries intact. however, have re-enter entries last 1-2 days. getting beyond frustrating. ideas on how fix this?

maybe way force reconstruction on indexes, or create duplicate register of corrupt 1 won't flake out?

(btw, don't have option stop using quicken, need workaround.)
