College Engineering Student Buying Advice

hello all,

fall beginning degree mechanical engineering @ rit.

have been saving college computer, , until sure going loaded 15" retina. however, realized 11" air , 21.5" imac same price. engineering student, better?
need dedicated graphics card cad , other engineering software. being haven't been school yet, i'm not sure need computer in class. under impression using notes , general browsing, because classes involving computers held in lab. cad work doing in dorm anyway while plugged in. down real question, do?

15" retina mbp:
2.7 ghz i7 3.8 turbo
16gb ram
512 gb ssd
gt750m 2gb ram

----------or------------

11" mba:
1.7 i7 3.3 turbo
8gb ram
128gb ssd

---and---

21.5" imac:
3.1 i7 3.9 turbo
16 gb ram
1tb hard drive
gt750m 1gb ram

combo option more expensive. 1 machine boot camp no matter option decide go with.

let me know guys think. in advance.

just completing masters in aerospace engineering , have mba 13" i7 processor , 8gig ram 256gb hard drive.

laptop hands down best machine have ever used. dual boot windows cad , finite element analysis , machines wipes floor university machines can use.

cad bigger screen advantage why don't save money , screen room , either 11inch mba or maybe 13" retina. 15" retina complete beast of computer , amazing have complete overkill.

maybe consider ipad , laptop combination. although find took hand notes equations tough down on laptop/ipad.

me 13" retina nice screen , spend rest on beer.
