Why did apple preview the watch now?

it's not shipping till next year , have seldom announced product far ahead of release.

know previewed mac pro came across more of panic move since saying apple can't innovate shut people up.

more same? seems ripped off , put market before apple ever ships first one. have witnessed, patents mean nothing these days.
 

apple announced iphone , ipad months before putting them on sale. because tends stifle incumbent competition while customers hold off purchases until can see new apple device themselves. smart watches going take pretty decent hit until apple watch goes on sale.

said, can lead copycats , clones being made generally, market buys products aren't same market goes apple gear.
