Why is it so limiting?

so got iphone 6 friday after 3 years on android. love smoothness of os , find app experience way better same apps on android bit puzzled of ios limitations beyond obvious things widgets on home screen, etc.

1) no third party text messaging apps? imessage boring , way change color schemes appears to download poorly-rated third party apps. there 0 third party sms apps 1 can use in place of imessage.

2) setting alarm without vibrate? can't on stock clock app. not choice. how downloading third party alarm? well, sure, can if don't remember open app before go bed won't work. , app won't work in background if set silent or enable not disturb, logical use when want sleep!

3) change ssid on personal hotspot? can't that. default xxxx's iphone , way change if change whole name of phone. basic option on android.

these 3 things i've noticed , i'm surprised in 2014 still have apple limiting flexibility lime this. these things should normal mobile os sky blue guess not.
 

imo (no hard data) vast majority of typical iphone users don't care of items
