i'm running 6-core duel amd gpu 3gb firepro machine (16gb ram) , running games under bootcamp external usb drive. assumed should able max out pc game throw @ machine results far have been pretty awful.. particularly frame rate , use of second gpu. turning crossfire off helps , makes games playable otherwise not far i'm disappointed gaming on windows 8.1 on machine. had better results on windows 7 running mere quad core imac this. can me understand why i'm getting such crappy framerates (under 25fps) when running @ high resolutions? because running games external drive not internal? ( internal 256gb unfortunately , has no room or of games since it's being taken apps. )
thinking maybe need install catalyst or graphics drivers maybe i'm missing out on. love hear else gaming via bootcamp on windows 8 , how run system best.. settings on default in firepro control centre , have crossfire turned off. ( reason when turn on many games crap themselves. )
the firepro video cards not gaming cards. that's biggest issue. make sure latest drivers cards installed, too; additionally, not games can take advantage of multiple video cards. has nothing running games external drive, unless it's perhaps usb 2.0 drive, then, doubt it.
