adobe, doubtless in fit of public spiritedness
, has offered web page info folks (as obama say) want switch lr; it's here:
http://landing.adobe.com/dam/downloads/whitepapers/54511.en.switch-from-aperture-to-lightroom.pdf
note first sentence: "adobe developing migration tool bring photos adobe photoshop lightroom aperture...." meanwhile, "exporter aperture" has hit mac app store. of what's in adobe instructions, , i've seen reports haven't tried myself.
note both methods actual photo edits "out" of aperture exporting developed/edited images, if haven't done already. it's not clear if adobe tool allow export of adjustments made in apeture, given language on page i'd doubt it.
i'm not intending start "i'll wait photos" vs "grab lifeboat lr" thread here, providing info folks have made mind try alternative. , note of techniques useful in transitioning other dams or out of aperture.

unless missed something, adobe has not given serious details migration tool or not do.
telling folks export tiff of final aperture version of image goes heart of problem. 2 different raw file editors use identical names , algorithms image parameters. if there serious migration tool adobe, needs take raw file , corresponding edits aperture , produce raw file+ edits in lr. if not, how improving on current situation?
apple have same kind of problem moving raw+edits iphoto/aperture database photos. of course key difference apple know math on both sides. think hold onto aperture until yosemite has launched , both apple , adobe have put photography cards on table next year. if can better informed on pros , cons of moving aperture photos, lr, or other dam+editor.
