Switch from 6 to 6 plus at store pickup

not sure if obvious or if help, contacted apple store in-store pickup 64gb space grey iphone 6 , said if changed mind able switch iphone 6 plus without having wait in non pre-order line if had still had them in stock. thought i'd let know in case preordered 6 still wanted make decision when can hold both in hands , potentially decide on device without having wait month (for 6 plus)!
 

they won't have stock.
