"Others" went from 7GB to 12GB after clean up

hi

i'm cleaning iphone before updating 6+ , ios8.
i've had 12gb photos, 7gb "others", , apps.

i've deleted of photos , have 1.5gb left.
removed email accounts, deleted many photos/attachements imessage , whatsapp, removed apps, deleted voice memos etc.

when plug itunes now, says 1.5gb photos (correct), "others" went 12gb.

basically, uninstalling apps, removing photos , attachements, or else added 5gb "others"?

idea?
 

restoring phone through dfu gets rid of 'other' storage
