Mac mini Wi-fi behavior question.....

hi,
noticed brand new mini internet browsing websites slower old imac core 2 duo. used diagnostic assistant, see if gets better.

wondering if wi-fi indicator behaves same in mini...when click on icon shows this

wi-fi:on

every 5 seconds wi-fi:looking networks​

on 8 year old white intel imac airport, , networks every 15 secs ...
