Carrier is it safe to sell my iPhone 6 Plus

hi,

purchased 2 iphone 6+ 2 years att contract , 2 tmobile iphone 6+.
plan sell att contracted iphone , use tmobile phone.

sell att phones new seal in box either craiglist or ebay. hence, new sim card inside. create problem when buyer activate att phone? not want stranger start taking on phone line.
 

from understand phones att come sim card set account , believe imei number tied account, why not pop att , ask 1 of guys there if possible, take out sim, far serial numbers + imei, i'm not sure
