Does iPhone 6 Airplay video work?

i've got 2nd gen apple tv , cannot airplay play videos (recorded in phone) off iphone 6. can connect fine, , can see phone mirrored, no video play (mirrored or not). have tried regular video (which might problem because it's @ 1080p/60 , atv supports 720p?), slo-mo video, should 720p/30 , should playable on atv.
 

had friend complain this. had trouble too.

think "waiting 8.1" situation. (and apple tv update too, maybe.)
