External drive has gone invisible

some how external drive invisible finder/ desktop . shows in disk utility 1 drive icon , won't unmount disk utility either ..


thought bad cable / adapter ( fw800 ) tried usb 3.0 adapter via 3.0 2.0 cable still no luck ..

ideally wanna unhide drive since tunes / movies drive ..


did verify / repair drive came out -- ok on both

hmmm...the drive still dying. had old backup drive. otherwise more beta troubles guess. current backup external functioning fine wouldn't know tell other report bug apple , test drive on device if @ possible.
