Lightroom/Photoshop workflow

okay everybody, i've read through few of other workflows , i'm looking more specific answer i've found far.

here process:
import lightroom 5
make minor edits (white balance, shadows, , highlights)
edit in photoshop cs6 more fine touchups (skin, eyes, etc)

question - hindering myself process vs not using bridge? shoot entirely in raw format , when transferring photoshop lightroom takes file (i.e. no photoshop raw plugin edits). there benefits using bridge handle library transfer photoshop use raw plugin & minor edits vs making edits in lightroom?

appreciate input , viewpoints. in advance.
