Time Capsule

i've been researching death , can't find else has posted i'm looking do.
have wifi network set using existing route/modem. want use time machine on network, not router/modem. understanding possible. but, shared network other users. able use on network securely, able access macbook ? not want other users able access time machine ups/or other file ups , not want other users able use time machine either.
follow question, there other external hard drives out there can accomplish ?

i going try , summarize best can , apologize if not answer question fully. existing modem , router can stay is. in airport utility, can configure time capsule connect other router's network on wireless or ethernet. if possible, should wire time capsule router. important configure not put out wireless signal prevent interference existing equipment. can secure time capsule disk in number of ways. first device password requires base station administrator password. not doing because if ever need file off someone's machine entering admin password in. second option "with accounts". let create user account , accompanying privileges user. example, john smith has read access, while jane doe has read , write.
can attach 126 usb drives theoretically of time capsule through use of powered usb hub. recommend store data on time capsule drive , periodically backup internal tc drive external using "archive" command built airport utility. not believe can access data while archive running, maybe run overnight.
